World Book Night
World Book Night is a annual celebration of reading and books which sees tens of thousands of passionate volunteers gift books in their communities to share their love of reading. In 2012 World Book Night was celebrated in the UK, Ireland, Germany and USA on April 23rd.
This year, as part of the local celebrations reading groups from Upton and Lytchett Matravers came together and met at Lytchett Matravers Library for a 'My Life in Books' evening. The evening was led by various local librarians and included quizes and a lot of lively discussion and of course chat.
The evening demonstrated how alive and well reading and book groups are in our area. Many thanks to those who organised and led the evening - a great success.
